Shin is in New York
Saturday, December 16, 2006
Well... Shin has been in New York for over a day now. She gets online with her laptop, so we have stayed in contact. She is excited, very busy, and isn't getting much sleep. She has 2 more full days in New York, then she comes to Chicago. She will spend 2 weeks with me, which should be great. We have lots of plans and ideas, and she has a new 1GB memory card for her camera waiting here for her. This will cause a HUGE number of pictures can be taken.

I'm really looking forward to her being here. This will be our 2nd Christmas & New Years together. Maybe I will be fortunate enough to go back to Malaysia next year. I wish I could go back there and stay, I pray for that constantly. Mostly, I just want to be with her, it really doesn't matter where. When you want to be with someone for the rest of your life, you really want that to start as soon as possible.

I still have a couple things to do to get ready for her arrival, then I wait. *twitch*

12 hours til take off...
Wednesday, December 13, 2006
Shin Yi is about 12 hours away from taking off in a plane, with layovers, connections, and a few days in New York.... before she gets here to visit me. She will be my guest for 2 weeks. This will include a visit to the zoo, a park, a botanical garden, chinatown, the observatory deck in a skyscraper, the rock & roll Mcdonalds, and a "Blue Man Group" theater show... all in downtown Chicago. Many of these things I will see for the first time also, with her. We will hit the malls, stores, and eat everything in sight.

I wish she could stay longer, but I am so thankful she could visit for Christmas/New Years. It's been a really hard year, so it will be nice to have her here. I was with her in Malaysia for Christmas/New Years last year. I'd like nothing more than to go back there next year for Christmas (or sooner), and stay forever. This is my dream. I pray for it all the time. All I would have to do is figure out how to bring my cat to Kuching (cat city) Malaysia.
